Meet Dawn:
“As a conflict management specialist and an expert in interpersonal negotiations, I hear from hundreds of people a year about serious conflicts and concerns. I am passionate about helping couples, families, and organizations identify needs and work towards win-win solutions. These types of interactions create opportunities and growth through conflict. My research interests focus on the uses of power in interpersonal negotiations, harassment, dispute resolution, and coping with difficult people. I am especially interested in the role of ‘change through transformation’ in helping to affirm professional and productive behavior within organizations.” I have over 20 years of field experience in alternative Dispute Resolution; I began my mediation career in 2004 as a volunteer mediator and served on Small Claims, Parent/Teen, Probate, and Civil Litigation Cases. I have completed hundreds of hours of training in mediation, conflict management, and negotiation techniques. I strive to help mitigate conflicts between couples, families, and small groups, aiming as often as possible to transform relationships and create Win-Win resolutions for all parties involved. I hold a Dual Bachelor’s in Business Administration/Marketing and a Dual Master's in Conflict Resolution/Restorative Justice, a Dual Doctorate in Education Administration/Curriculum Design, certificates in advanced negotiation techniques, and CBT.
About Stronger Together:
Stronger Together is a restorative, multigenerational community and teen positive program for people 12+. Once a month during the school year, we gather around topics of importance to our community, such as self care, positive mental outlooks, and healthy relationships, share information and resources and create a space for learning from one another.
